Types of Classes
  • Beginner Intro Classes
    The beginner classes offered at Coastal Plain Shooting Academy are designed to teach you safety, skill and a basic foundation of operating a handgun. Expand your knowledge on the different parts of a gun and how it operates, how to clean it and store it, and more. Our beginner classes are designed to help you feel comfortable and confident using a firearm.
  • Skill Building Classes
    Our various skills classes offer detailed lessons that focus on different handgun skills, including more in-depth techniques and advanced skills. Learn the proper fundamentals of shooting to hone your handgun skills and become a pro in no time!
  • North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun Course
    Before applying to obtain a NC Concealed Carry Handgun permit, you will need to complete a Concealed Carry course, with a review of safety guidelines, classroom training, shooting qualification and a written test. This class meets all NC CCH requirements. Upon completing the course successfully, you are eligible to apply to the Sheriff’s Office in your county of residence for the Concealed Carry permit.

Coastal Plain Shooting Academy utilizes an in-house gunsmith to provide specific upgrades to your firearm. Whether you require repairs, diagnostics, action work, modifications, cleaning or restoration, we can help. To have a firearm transferred to Coastal Plain Shooting Academy, please contact us. For a faster response, please email us your name, and ‘CPSA Transfer’ in the subject line, and include the following information:

  • First and last name
  • Contact phone number
  • Order number from the dealer (if applicable)
  • Name, email, and telephone number of the FFL dealer
  • Make, model, and type of firearm you wish to transfer
