Facility Rules
- You are allowed to bring your own firearms and ammunition. Please speak with a member of our team if you are unsure if your firearm or ammunition is allowed.
- To shoot at Coastal Plain Shooting Academy, you must bring proper identification that proves your citizenship status.
- All firearms must be unloaded and cased until you are on the range, it is prohibited to open carry.
Indoor Range Rules

Control the muzzle at all times when handling, un-casing, shooting, and re-casing firearms.

When on the firing line, keep the muzzle pointed down range.

Treat all firearms as though they are “loaded.”

All firearms must remain cased or holstered anytime you’re not on your firing lane.

Hearing and eye protection are required for entry on CPSA ranges.

No cross-lane firing. Shoot only into the target on your lane.

All shooters must shoot in a controlled manner. CPSA reserves the right to define “controlled manner.”

Do not pick up any item from the floor, with a weapon in your hand.

Do not go forward of the RED firing line for any reason. If you need something forward of the RED firing line, please ask CPSA staff for assistance.

Formal firearms instruction may only be provided by CPSA approved instructors.

Stay inside of your bay for your own personal protection.

All firearms must have sights.

Shotguns and AR15/AK type receivers must have a shoulder stock. Shooters must use them.

Immediately obey all commands to “Cease Fire”. Everyone is a range safety officer. If you see something unsafe, please say so immediately and notify CPSA staff.

CPSA staff has the final say when it comes to interpretation of the rules, safety and range use. The CPSA staff is here for your protection.
Dress Code
- No heels or open toe shoes.
- No low-cut, cropped or tank tops permitted. No facial hoods or coverings are to be worn inside.
- We recommend comfortable sneakers, t-shirts and prescription eye-glasses if necessary.
Age Requirements
- All Coastal Plain Shooting Academy guests must adhere to the following age requirements:
- Shooters must be at least 12 years old.
- All shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- All shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied on the same lane by a parent or legal guardian.
